There are a number of "administrative"
steps that students must take before beginning their
classes. We realize that it can be a daunting task
to try to contact each of these offices at a distance
and to make sure that all of the necessary "bases
are covered". To assist you, a step-by-step
Course enrollment Process will help you complete
all necessary enrollment procedures and ensure that
you get off to a great start in your online learning

Admissions
The Office of the Registrar will provide
you with information about University admission
requirements and links to a convenient online admissions
form.
Student Advising
The major goal of the Advisement and Support Center
is to assist you in designing academic plans which
will enable you to complete your program requirements
as efficiently as possible. Here you will receive
personal one-on-one advising and support to address
your unique background and academic objectives.
Course Registration
The Office of the Registrar will provide
you with information about the course registration
process and links to the online course registration

Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial aid is awarded to more than 60% of the
University population in the form of grants, scholarships,
tuition waivers, employment, and loans. We are here
to assist you with applying for financial aid and
scholarships and to ensure that your awards are
disbursed most efficiently.
The Book Depot
The Book Depot will strive to meet all of your academic
supply oriented needs for your Cosmic Institute courses. We will be happy to assist
you with obtaining any books and supplies that are
required for your classes. Additionally, we can
provide (at an academic discount) any computer hardware,
software, and peripheral equipment you may desire
to maximize the success and satisfaction of your
distance learning experience.
Fee Payment
After providing you with a consolidated
fee statement, you can make a single payment for
all of your Cosmic Institute expenses
with an approved credit card transaction over the
phone, or by mailing us a personal check. If you
prefer, we can also help you arrange to spread the
paying of your expenses over the semester in a convenient
installment plan.

The Cosmic Institute Coordinator will

and/or assistance you might need during your online

These resources are provided to assist you in developing
stronger proficiency in using some of the most popular
computer software applications and online technologies.
Included in these FREE learning resources are hands-on
technology tutorials for Computer Basics and Windows
operating systems, the Internet & WWW, Microsoft
Word 97, Microsoft Excel, 97, Microsoft PowerPoint
97, Microsoft Access 97, Microsoft Outlook 98, Microsoft
FrontPage 98, and Microsoft Publisher 98.
Cosmic Institute Library Resources
The Cosmic Institute Library serves
as a critical resource for online students to engage
in scholarly research as part of their online courses.
Many of the library's electronic indexes are available
to the public through the link provided here on
the left. However, other indexes are only available
to current Cosmic Institute students
through the password protected student login process.

The Cosmic Institute Faculty and Staff
are continually striving to improve the quality
of the Internet distance learning experience for
our students. To do this, we rely on your feedback
regarding how we can improve our distance learning
program in general and the delivery of our online
courses in particular. We greatly appreciate your
assistance and thank you for your candid evaluation.
Student Support Services Survey
At Cosmic Institute, we hope to develop
the best Internet based distance learning program
possible. However, to achieve this goal we desperately
need your feedback regarding "How can Cosmic Institute better support students
participating in the Internet based distance learning
program". In addition to your feedback on the
overall program, this survey seeks your input with
regard to how Cosmic Institute can
improve student services throughout the various
stages of the online learning process.
Degree Planning and Advising
After completing each semester of courses, you should
consult with your advisor in the Student Advisement
and Support Center to develop a plan for enrolling
in courses for the next semester and to ensure that
your degree completion plan is on track.
Course Registration
Once you have sketched out a plan for enrolling
in your next round of courses, the Admissions and
Records office can help you get registered.
Career Services
The Career Services and Cooperative Education Office
can assist you in a number of ways. For example,
you can enroll in cooperative education, practicum,
and internship experiences; apply for part-time
employment and workstudy positions; participate
in Career Fairs and Workshops; and utilize a number
of career planning, counseling, and testing services.
Course Grades / Transcripts
The Office of the Registrar can provide
you with information and assistance for accessing
your course grades and/or to obtain copies of your
college transcripts.
